The Technical Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining the architecture for the technology domain, specifically focused on Infrastructure and Operations. This role will develop current, future and transition states, and use these to guide the development of Solution Architectures in concurrent projects.

Experience and knowledge:
- Experience as a technical/infrastructure architect or EnterpriseSolution Architect over a period of more than 5 years.
- Ability to think beyond the planning horizon with a commercial focus.
- Successful track record of developing and implementing technical architecture (with Cyber Security considerations)
- Demonstrated capability to work with projects and diverse stakeholder teams to align Solution Architecture to enterprise architecture.
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to rapidly understand a business domain, and how technology supports its performance.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including stakeholder, vendor and senior executive interaction.
- Understanding of and experience with technologies across the whole technology stack:
- o Hypervisors (VMware)
- o Compute – ability to specify workloads
- o Storage (SANs)
- o Network infrastructure (Cisco desired)
- o Understanding of equivalent technologies in Azure Cloud e.g. virtual networking, storage and compute
- o Container and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, docker) – desirable
- o Explosure to Infrastructure as code (desirable)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or another relevant subject.
- Relevant technology certifications e.g. Azure, Microsoft, Citrix (desirable)
- Qualified in an Enterprise Architecture Framework (TOGAF or equivalent) - Desirable.
