  • $76,873 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 3 of the EBA5 * 9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Location: Petrie - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months.
About our opportunity
As our Inspection Officer - Trees you will be responsible for undertaking both scheduled and unscheduled inspections in line with Council's arboricultural requirements as relevant to the department.
This will include undertaking a range of activities and record management utilizing Council programs and software applications to create and maintain a tree asset data base as required, preparing detailed assessments in line with best arboriculture practice (including information such as species identification, health and structural integrity, accurate measurements, root zone assessments, estimated labour, plant, materials required and estimated time frame of any necessary maintenance works) and providing a technical scope and input into identifying and preparation of works and associated repair methods.
About you
Ideally you will have demonstrated experience working within a similar position. You will have demonstrated experience undertaking inspections on trees while considering a broad range of relative arboriculture maintenance practices, the ability to use a range of computer/software systems and a solid level of communication skills - both written and verbal.

Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a Certificate III in Arboriculture or Certificate III in Horticulture, a Construction Induction card (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement) and a current C class drivers licence.
