Your new role
Reporting to the Canberra Operations Supervisor and based in Canberra. As the successful Construction Supervisor you will be responsible for providing site project supervision across hire and sale installation and demobilisation of projects on time, on budget and safely under the direction of a Construction/Operations/Project Manager whilst also having the ability & experience to provide project construction quoting support as required.
You will be joining a fast growing, dynamic team where culture and safety are paramount, and backed up by National support. This role encompasses travel throughout regional areas.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervise the install or removal of buildings and infrastructure.
- Carry out site inspections
- Co-ordinate and supervise all site elements to ensure project delivery
- Ensure that daily tool box meetings are held and that weekly site meetings are held
- Ensure that Sub-contractors are working effectively and to Scope of Works
- Monitor Quality Control of site installations including all required documentation
- Uphold a high-level safety culture and contribute to ongoing improvements in this area
What you will bring to the role:
- At least 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity within the building, modular, logistics, construction or resource industry.
- You ideally would have worked on major building sites.
- Trade Certificate or equivalent experience.
- White Card and Current Drivers licence
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Experience using power tools
- Contracts administration knowledge is a must.
- A strong understanding of safety and environmental management systems with the ability to drive a strong safety culture.
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to effectively communicate with and manage people, ensuring a performance culture is established which focuses on continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft packages, mainly Outlook and Word.
- Great interpersonal skills with use of analytical skill, initiative to problem solve and communicate clearly both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise work as required.
- Demonstrated behaviours in support of company values of Teamwork, Care, Ownership, Respect and Excellence.
- First Aid ticket (preferred).
- Be able to travel throughout ACT and Southern NSW
