We are seeking hard-working and self-motivated installers with a positive, can-do attitude, to join our existing team of long term installers. You will have the opportunity to join a strong team of long-term employees within a rapidly growing, family owned business.
Your position will be within our Installation team, assisting with a variety of assembly and installation tasks. Tasks include installation of toilet/shower cubicles, bench seating, lockers and office furniture, placement of products, assembling components on site, final cleaning and inspection prior to handover, reporting defects to site manager, maintenance of site tools and equipment, use of hand tools, etc.
Cubispec Washroom Solutions provides toilet and shower cubicles, assisting customers from the design phase through to completion.
This role is suitable for someone with some kind of construction experience, such as trade assistant, qualified carpenter, shop fitting, etc. Our ideal candidate would be one with a carpentry / cabinet-making background, however, we are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, desire to learn, have a sense of urgency and prioritizes safety.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and constantly improve systems related to your position and department to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure that all time is accounted for via the Company’s Time Tracking system.
- Assembling components on site.
- Placement of products.
- Final cleaning & inspection (scratches, dirt & imperfections) prior to handover.
- Reporting of defects to Site Manager.
- Maintenance of site tools & equipment.
- Adhere to company’s Personal Safety (PPE) requirements.
- Read & interpret plan drawings.
- Use of hand tools (drills, routers, grinders, etc).
- Daily clean-up of working areas
- Understand the company’s OH & S policy.
Skills & Experience:
- Cabinet making qualifications (desirable).
- Construction/trade experience (desirable)
- Valid Manual Driver’s license.
- Valid white card.
- Working with children check (desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using hand tools.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good work ethic and ability to multitask.
- Willing to under regular Drug & Alcohol screening and CV checks.
This is a Full-time position, 38 hours a week. Our operating days are Monday to Friday, however there is occasional opportunities for weekend work.
The position will be based out of our Tullamarine warehouse, free parking is available on site. Our installers start their day from our Tullamarine location and use company vehicles to commute to site/customer locations.
