Institute Coordinator - TIA

About the opportunity
The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture is looking for a highly organised professional to join their team as an Institute Coordinator.
The Institute Coordinator will support TIA Management by providing high level executive, project and policy, communication, and administrative support to the Business Manager.
As the Institute Coordinator you will undertake a diverse range of operational and project related activities encompassing elements of finance, human resources, internal communication, policy and planning, and technology.
What you'll do:
  • Deliver the operational administration of TIA, including being a key liaison and point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Provide high-level advice and executive support.
  • Provide effective management of day-to-day administration needs including finance, human resources, audit & risk, work health and safety, record management and project planning.
  • In partnership with the UTAS People and Wellbeing division, manage the process of new appointments, contract renewals, contract cessations and casual appointments.
  • Support the administrative duties for TIA's teaching program and research projects.
  • Provide leadership and management of the TIA Executive Administrative team including delivery and oversight of performance and career development programs and plans.
What we're looking for:
  • Qualifications in administration or substantial administrative experience at a university or research organisation, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, management expertise and/or education and training.
  • Proven high-level administration management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare finance and budget reports and other high-level documentation.
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills, including ability to work autonomously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly developed interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $143,448 comprising base salary within the range of $107,829 to $122,605 plus 17% superannuation.
