Located on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, Woodleigh School is an independent, coeducational school comprising two Junior Campuses, Minimbah in Frankston South and Penbank in Moorooduc and a Senior Campus in Langwarrin South.

An exciting opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic and inspiring music teacher to support our students from years F to 12 across our three campuses.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate sessional music teacher specialising in voice. The successful candidate will have a warm and welcoming disposition, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to innovate and encourage the development of musicianship and technique, and an eagerness to participate in a flourishing music department. The position requires 1:1 instrumental teaching (remunerated at VMTA sessional rates) and potentially involvement within the school’s contemporary and classical ensemble programs. The possibility to convert to a contract position after 12 months employment exists.
Experience and Skills
Must be able to demonstrate:
- 1:1 Instrumental teaching
- Involvement in ensembles and orchestras
- Employment of a range of effective teaching strategies to successfully implement technical and repertoire development
- Differentiated teaching methodology to ensure individual needs of students are met
- A high level of musical/instrumental proficiency
- Ability to work effectively within a team
Conditions of Employment
- A Working with Children Check is required for this position.
- Qualification and First Aid Training confirmation is required for this position.
