There is an open permanent & full-time position for an experienced INSTRUMENTATION & MONITORING PROJECTMANAGER within our Sydney office. You will be a hands-on project manager with primary responsibility to manage geotechnical and structural monitoring projects of various sizes in NSW. You will manage a small team of engineers, technicians and surveyors, and report directly to the NSW State Manager.
Your main missions are the following :
- Management of a large infrastructure project (or a portfolio of projects of smaller sizes).
- Day to day management of the Sixense project team (3-10 persons)
- Liaise with the clients and site teams to meet project deadlines and objectives
- Manage and prioritize requests from the clients
- Plan new monitoring solutions at new project areas
- Maintain and troubleshoot current monitoring systems
- Installation of new systems on site
- Mentor junior members of the team
- Provide cost estimations for variations and new works
- Promote Sixense and follow new opportunities for growth
Profile
- Ideally a master's degree with a specialization in geotechnical engineering
- Excellent communication skills to deliver excellence in client care.
- At least 5 years experience in the geotechnical instrumentation & monitoring industry
- At least 3 years experience managing other works
- Ability to self-start and drive their own schedule
- Scheduling & negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Office software suite
- Proven ability to stick at problems and successfully achieve outcomes.
- Eligible to work unrestricted in Australia is preferred
- Australian driver's license
- High level of awareness of safety and understanding of safety procedures
