Intake Support Worker

• Max term – 12 Months| Part Time – 15 hrs per week (flexible days)

Find out more and .Your OpportunityThis role supports women and women led families who have experienced intimate partner violence in Western Sydney. To assess their eligibility into the Priority Program and to help them to apply for Housing and to navigate into the services system and to ensure they are connected to the supports they need.Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Conduct Intake of women who are referred to or self-refer to the program
• Responsible for the intake and referral processes, referring all women to appropriate services
• Provide one-off support, referral and information to appropriate clients
• Contribute to the effective functioning and development of the services across the region through involvement in projects
• Establish and maintain a Private Rentals Property Register and a database of potential tenants

Requirements for SuccessTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

• Ideally Diploma in Social Welfare or relevant industry experience
• Strong listening and engagement skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships
• A sound level of computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• A positive team player who looks for ways to improve current work practices and processes
• Previous experience intake and assessment.
