About the position

Advanced business software systems play an increasingly important role in supporting the City to deliver its services to the community.  As systems are implemented and developed, solutions for sharing and updating data between them form a key component of the City's enterprise architecture, ensuring that the information that City customers and staff rely on is secure, accurate, complete and up to date.

We are seeking an experienced integration professional to join our Business Systems team in the role of Integration & Data Specialist, with strong skills in the design, development and maintenance of integration solutions involving the automated exchange, processing, and analysis of data. You will be responsible for:

• Working with business areas to gather requirements and create design documentation in relation to new and updated integration solutions;
• Designing and building integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud, maintaining standards of modular design and re-usable components;
• Testing and supporting users to test integrations to ensure that they meet the requirements set out in the design documentation;
• Supporting data owners and administrators to maintain their data assets consistently with the City's Data Management Framework and Data quality guidelines;
• Supporting the business systems team with the management of corporate data assets:
• Working with business areas to identify reporting requirements, develop reports and/or business intelligence solutions to support service delivery.

About you

To be successful in the position, you should have the following:

• Recent experience in the development of integration solutions
• Knowledge of technologies and methodologies that enable integration of business systems
• Experience working with integration tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud is desirable.
• Experience working with database management systems such as SQL Server
• Experience with data extraction and modelling using business intelligence tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
• Strong written and verbal communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Relevant experience in a similar role within a large organisation.
• Advanced computing, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Knowledge of the practical application of Occupational Health and Safety measures in the workplace including hazard identification in an office environment.
