A global operator of renewable energy looking to add to their ranks in a new renewables project in Perth.
The Role
This is a Perth based contracting role on an initial 12-month contract.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the systems engineering process from requirements analysis to validation, ensuring the seamless integration of various components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional design teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software elements into product designs, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Participate in design reviews to proactively identify and address integration challenges early in the development cycle.
- Coordinate efforts among multiple subsystem teams to ensure compatibility and optimal performance within the product.
- Develop and supervise prototype creation for testing and validation, making necessary adjustments to meet project objectives.
- Plan and conduct verification and validation tests to ensure integrated products meet design and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements for integrated systems and products.
- Liaise with external suppliers and partners to integrate third-party components into designs, maintaining performance and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues during the design and development phases.
- Maintain detailed records of integration processes, changes, and test results for project documentation and reporting.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to enhance integration processes and product quality continuously.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Software/Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in Integration Engineering or a related role within product design and development.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and best practices.
- Previous experience with product design of mobile equipment or related products desired.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and knowledge of modelling, simulation and CAE techniques beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in product development.
