The role

Take the lead working with intelligence and risk professionals, operational teams, external partners and agencies to identify emerging threats, threat patterns, typologies issues and opportunities, and support tactical, strategic and operational initiatives to meet intelligence objectives and commitments to government.

Leading a team of analysts and managers, you will assure that the process undertaken to analyse information is structured, logical and transparent, and is aligned with the intelligence cycle, internal ATO intelligence standards and the broader National Intelligence Community standards.

Your duties

• Provide insights and intelligence expertise for executive and ministerial briefing documents

• Utilise a range of analytical methods and tools to develop high quality intelligence products

• Build and manage multiple relationships and networks

• Ensure staff are aligned with intelligence governance and security requirements

Skills and experience

• Extensive experience and knowledge in the application of intelligence best practice

• Expert problem-solver and critical thinker

• Drives strategy, priorities and deliverables aligned with strategic objectives

• Translates complex information and data into influential advice

• Builds capability and develops high performing teams

Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, law and business (or similar disciplines) or industry/government experience in risk management, intelligence or risk related roles are highly desirable.

Experience as a Power BI developer or user would be advantageous.

These roles will be offered in Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Geelong, Gosford, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Penrith, Perth, Sydney CBD, Townsville, Upper Mount Gravatt or Wollongong.
