The Project Interface Specialist will be required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:
Support the Interface Manager in interface management including tasking, time management, work accountability and liaison to clients/customers.
Support the provision of systems engineering services for activities with particular focus on system level engineering. Including developing the ICT solution documentation including, but not limited to Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Configuration documentation (Platform and site integration documents) and Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM).
Support the Solution Architect in the identification and documentation of interface and integration requirement
Support the project in the development and documentation of the Functional Performance Specifications (FPS) and other documentation as required for integration of the solution.
Support the required System Reviews for the ICT solution including the System Definition Review (SDR), Detailed Design Review (DDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR) and Transfer of Support Responsibilities (TSR). This includes drafting slides and presenting the engineering sections at these reviews.
Assess and report on the progress and effectiveness of ongoing activities and processes related to the role.
Support in defining and specifying IT systems interoperability.
Required Skills and Experience:
Professional Degree qualified Engineer.
Experience with risk identification and analysis, including conducting risk reviews.
Ability to take requirements, standards and frameworks and apply in a practical application to future proposed designs and systems.
Experience developing / producing approved Function and Performance Specifications (FPS), Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Platform Integration Requirement Specifications (IRS).
Ability to evaluate system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions and implement them with the assistance of vendors, developers and SMEs.
Ability to conduct research, as well as rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
3+ years of Interface/Integration experience
In depth understanding of tactical environments and relevant interfaces.
Experience in working with CASG SPOs and within CASG Engineering Management Systems.
Experience in Engineering Management / Technical Project Management positions.
Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience of presentation and engagement with stakeholders, projects and business areas
Excellent written and speaking capability, with a well-developed ability to liaise effectively with and influence stakeholders.
