About the opportunity
The Junior Consultant reports to the Studio Manager and is part of the MyChoice Design Studio Interior Design team. In this highly rewarding role, you will be responsible for the café area of the Design Studio and you will receive on the job training to work closely with clients from initial walk through, selection and beyond. More specifically, you will gain exposure to:
- Managing and maintaining the café area including cleaning, monitoring inventory, ordering items and restocking
- Coordinating catering for inhouse events including but not limited to VIP events and customer information evenings
- Greeting customers, taking and completing orders throughout the day and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Ad-hoc duties in the Studio including but not limited to restocking samples, stock take & general upkeep
- Maintain storage areas in warehouse
- Serving and preparing food and beverages including operation of the coffee machine in a safe and timely manner
- Responding to emails from customers regarding food orders for their appointments and suppliers regarding orders for the café
About you
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of Weeks Homes and NEX Group along with:
- Experience in a barista and customer service roles
- Currently studying a Diploma of Interior Decoration and Design or similar
- A willingness to develop a strong understanding of design aesthetic and conceptual skills
- Commitment to providing excellence in customer service and strong communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong record keeping, planning and organising
- Desire to build a long terms career in Interior Design
