We are seeking a motivated and experienced accountant and future advisor to join our dynamic team. To be considered, you will have completed your Bachelor of Commerce, Business or Accounting Degree, have at least 3 years’ experience, and are either already working towards your CA or CPA qualification, or you are ready to start on this soon.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Directors you will manage a client base comprising predominantly of Small to Medium Enterprises. You will be responsible for managing their Taxation, Compliance and Business Advisory requirements. You will liaise directly with clients, with support from the Directors, and look to provide broader advice to recognise potential issues or business opportunities. You will also be tasked with mentoring more junior employees to develop competent and self-sufficient accounting professionals. This role will allow you to exponentially advance your career!

To be considered you MUST have:
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Bachelor of Commerce, Business or Accounting Degree
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Public Practice (the right candidate with less experience will be considered)
- CA or CPA qualified, working towards qualification or ready to start your qualification journey soon

Your technical skills:
- All GST regulations and compliance requirements
- General income tax legislative and regulatory requirements
- Experienced with SME businesses
- Proficiency in software including Xero, MYOB, MS Suite
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for all entities including sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies and SMSFs
- Preparation of BAS/IAS returns, FBT returns, PAYG Summary reports, PAYG withholding variation application for all entities.
- Preparation of clear and concise workpapers.
