Desk-based Building Industry Position (OFF THE TOOLS) - Gold Coast or remote

Established in 1993, Townsend Building Services is an award-winning, building and construction industry expert delivering projects Australia-wide. A family business, we started out as a partner to insurance companies like Alliance and Westpac, assisting clients with catastrophic repairs. About the Role

We are seeking a talented and highly driven individual with a solid background in the building and construction industry, looking to move into an office-based position, to join our Internal Estimating Team based at TBS head office in beautiful Burleigh Heads. 

Desktop Estimating at TBS involves preparing a detailed assessment, scope of works and repair quote, based on supplied information captured by an onsite Estimator. 

Are you looking for an office-based position with a great team in a growing industry? If so, this might be the role for you! 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Preparing quotations, variations and reports based on Scope of Works provided by external Estimators
  • Managing time and resources to ensure timely completion and submission of all required documentation
  • Communicating with external Estimators to ensure accuracy of documentation

To Be Successful in This Role You Need:

  • Trade qualification (preferably in carpentry or joinery)
  • Confident with technology and comfortable learning new systems
  • A working knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations (preferred but not required) 
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
