THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a unique opportunity to lead our client's sales initiatives, taking marketing generated leads, qualifying them, and skillfully navigating them through the sales process.
Your primary objective will be to cultivate genuine connections with customers in the Agriculture sector. As their trusted advisor, you'll provide tailor-made solutions for lasting success. While occasional client visits may be necessary, this role is predominately office-based.
Key areas of responsibility:
Sales Target:
- Achieve an average annual sales target of $7 million.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
- Be a key player in the Agriculture sector by attending events and building valuable connections.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate authentic relationships with clients through networking initiatives.
- Leverage extensive construction sector experience to provide tailored solutions.
- Showcase expertise in building high-quality sales pipelines.
- Utilise CRM systems for efficient customer relationship management.
- Provide accurate and detailed quotations.
- Persistently follow up on opportunities, going the extra mile to secure deals.
- Attend industry events to expand networking opportunities.
ABOUT YOU
You possess a genuine passion for agriculture and a profound understanding of its market complexities.
Your in-depth knowledge of our client's market landscape and well-developed construction industry network will set you up for success in this pivotal sales role.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
- Possess a genuine passion for agriculture and a deep understanding of the market.
- Proven experience in long-term sales within the commercial construction sector.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel for business development. Occasional client visits may be necessary, but this role is primarily office based.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Networking prowess with a history of attending industry events.
- Proficiency in building quality sales pipelines.
- Previous experience using CRM systems.
- Previous experience drafting quotations.
- A hunger, drive and persistence, in following up opportunities, going the extra mile.
