Position:International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) Coordinator

Term: Fixed-term part-time | 2024-25 Contract

Hours: 26 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE)

Starting: Term 3, Tuesday 9 July 2024

Ceasing: 12/12/25, but with the anticipation that the successful applicant will continue in the role in a full-time capacity from January 2026, when the programme begins operating.

About the role:

Brisbane Montessori School (BMS) is currently in the preliminary stages of pursuing candidacy and authorisation to offer the IB Diploma and Career-related Programmes (for January 2026) and therefore invites applications for an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and/or Career-related Programme Coordinator to join our passionate team of dedicated professionals. The IB DP/CP Coordinator will be responsible for achieving candidacy and authorisation of the programmes at the school. This fixed-term, part-time contract is 26 hours per fortnight during term time.

Successful applicants will have the following (selection criteria):

• Recognised QCT teaching qualification and current teacher registration;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team building and leadership;

• Excellent working knowledge of the IB standards and practices and the Australian Curriculum requirements (Year 10);

• Sound administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands and priorities to meet deadlines;

• Experience in a similar role in an IB World School;

• Experience working collaboratively with a passionate team of staff to deliver a range of effective learning experiences for all students;

• A proven capacity to improve student learning and promote academic excellence.

• Parent Child Programme (PCP) Birth - 15 months

• Montessori Independent Toddler Community (MITC) 15 months – 3 year olds

• Children's House (3 – 6 year olds)

• Lower Primary (6 – 9 year olds)

• Upper Primary (9 – 12 year olds)

• Middle School & Year 10 (12 – 16 year olds)

• Senior School Years 11 & 12 planned for January 2026
