Form of workWe are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to work alongside the finance team and focusing on taxation aspects of the organisation. This is a very hands-on role and will suit an individual who likes working with detail.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Tax Accountant will play a key role in strengthening the in-house tax function, improving internal processes and identifying and executing efficiencies in this function.
Your duties will include (but not limited to):-
- Transfer Pricing and intercompany transactions
- Accountability for compliance with local and International Tax regimes
- Working on the Company’s tax direct and indirect matters, optimizing its local and International Tax position, as well as managing tax service and compliance delivery
- Preparation of income tax returns, BAS, GST and other company tax returns
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Business Administration
- Professional qualification such as CA or CPA
- Significant experience in tax accounting and tax compliance, experience with the Big 4 or similar preferred
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Australian Taxation Laws and other relevant legislation
- Previous experience with transfer pricing is essential
- Technical financial accounting knowledge in tax effect accounting
