Darwin Jewellery Workshop

The Paspaley family has been pearling since 1935. For decades, we have been internationally recognised as the source of the world’s finest pearls and mother-of-pearl.

Paspaley pearls are the rarest and most valuable pearls in the world. These exceptional gems are created by nature in Australia’s pristine northern oceans, unrivalled in size, nacre quality, natural colour and lustre.

Due to a newly created role, Paspaley is seeking a Logistics & Production Officer for our Darwin Jewellery Workshop The successful candidate will need a can-do attitude, be customer focused and have an entrepreneurial spirit to support the JWD Manager in crafting the world’s finest pearl jewellery.  You will be required to foster a culture of one team, communicate with internal and external stakeholders and be willing to critically review processes and methods to improve accuracy and efficiency to ensure future growth. 

Key tasks, responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Communicate, priorities and assist with the management of workshop tasks and meetings.
  • Request quotations, process purchase orders, invoices and accounts payable. 
  • Logistic planning, import/export documentation and processing of components.
  • Co-ordinate and document projects between the workshop and Paspaley product development teams.
  • Product Identification detail reconfirmation and documenting.
  • Assist in the management of components, manufacturing and documenting of Pearl Strands and jewellery.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment. 
  • General office administration duties as directed.

It is essential that you have:

  • Proven high-level communication skills including verbal and written.
  • Good time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.
  • The ability to work under pressure and effectively adjust to changing situations. 
  • Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to maintain strong, productive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Candidates MUST have a current Australian drivers’ licence and be an Australian Citizen or have permanent work rights in Australia.

Knowledge of stock purchasing and productions flow using ERP systems such as Dynamics AX, SAP or HARMONIQ would be considered advantageous.
