SalaryDue to operational growth, our client - ofi (also known as Olam Orchards) - are currently seeking multiple Irrigation Controllers. In this role you will be directing the future of ofi's 486Ha Westmore Almond Orchard in Boundary Bend, 371Ha Carina Orchard in Liparoo, and 960Ha Liparoo Orchard in Wemen.

Your Role
Playing a crucial role in the ofi's Sunraysia team, you will:
- Develop and execute strategic irrigation planning, optimising water resource utilisation.
- Manage and oversee the meticulous execution of irrigation and fertigation schedules.
- Manage and maintain all on-farm irrigation assets to ensure smooth execution of irrigation and fertigation activities.
- Lead a small irrigation team, ensuring all staff adhere to compliance and risk management norms, while fostering collaboration across other on-farm teams.
- Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities in line with OFI's commitment to transparent and diligent operations.
We're seeking a horticultural enthusiast with:
- Strong leadership skills and proficiency in budgeting and expense tracking.
- Technical proficiency with tree crops to make informed decisions related to irrigation planning.
- Proficient handling and safe storage knowledge of fertilisers according to protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, combined with the ability to work autonomously.
- Knowledge of computer use for data analysis and irrigation software utilisation.
