It Field Engineer / Technician

Role Title:  IT Field Engineer / Technician

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Visa holder with unlimited working rights.
• The role is based in Sydney, Australia.

Job Summary: - 

• May function as team or site leader providing direction to other technicians.
• Prior experience working and providing support in Server and storage, hardware break and fix, installation, desk-side software, hardware & networking support for desktops, and laptops.
• Provide support for hardware troubleshooting such as laptops, desktops, and monitors.
• Install and maintain PCs along with associated accessories and peripherals.
• People with experience in IT Field Engineers/technicians such as hardware troubleshooting of computers and Laptops can apply.
• Active directory/exchange server and operating systems knowledge 

 You will deliver value by:

• May function as team or site leader providing direction to other technicians.
• Performs server and storage break and fix. 
• Deskside support specialist. Provides support for enterprise storage products.
• Supports Networking products - including Cisco certification requirements.
• Provides support for software, hardware, and networking support for desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers, and peripherals.
• Performs installs, moves, adds, and changes as required.
• Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers, and client-approved applications.
• Provides follow-up on problems or escalation.
• Ensures client-specific Service Level Agreements are met and incident and request tickets are updated accordingly within the ticketing system
• Perform IMAC and exposure to project management.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Work experience of minimum 2- 4 years in technical aspects, hardware break and fix, installation, desk-side software support, and Computer-building background experience preferred
• Active directory/exchange server and operating systems knowledge 
• Specific Manufacturer's certifications as required. i.e. EMC, Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, Apple, and Unisys. CompTIA, and NETWORK PLUS 
• An advanced degree of knowledge of hardware and software including Unisys/Microsoft/Network operating systems and advanced troubleshooting capabilities on software and hardware problems including DTS, Legacy systems, storage systems, and interconnectivity problems
