The Operational Technology (OT) Services team is part of Fugro’s global IT Infrastructure and Security team. At OT Services we provide IT support to facilitate Fugro’s vessels and field operations, remote operations and processing of Geo-data collected during those operations. Within OT Services, the Deployment team coordinates and executes full scale deployment of IT infrastructure onboard Fugro's marine vessels operating globally.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an IT Project Engineer to join the team who is responsible for all technical aspects related to the preparation, installation and commissioning of the IT infrastructure and services to a vessel or (offshore) site as per business requirements. Your duties include but not limited to the below:

• Perform site visits to determine IT infrastructure requirements and create the associated reports specifying the required IT infrastructure equipment, licenses and configurations;
• Prepare and configure the IT infrastructure equipment as per standard design work instructions and perform the integrated system testing prior to shipment;
• Create the site-specific installation and commissioning plan while performing the onsite installation and commissioning of IT infrastructure equipment as per the plan;
• Participate in toolbox talks when performing onsite work to ensure safe execution.

About You

Your success in securing this role will require:

• Tertiary degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field;
• Proven experience with the configuration and installation of IT infrastructure hardware, networks and systems;
• Relevant IT system certificates such as Microsoft Windows Server, Office365, Exchange, Azure and MTA, VMWare VCTA/VCP, Cisco CCST/CCNA, ITIL4 is highly beneficial;
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in providing feedback to improve solutions for design work instructions and deployment process;
• Ability to generate daily progress installation and commissioning reports and other required document deliverables for handover support.
