About this Opportunity

Reporting directly to the IT Services Manager, as the IT Service Desk Engineer, you will be motivated to provide customer focused IT services to RFDS SA/NT staff and leadership to the IT Service Desk team.

We believe our people – all of our people – keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying.

Specifically, you will:
• Oversee and develop the operations of the IT Service Desk operators, ensuring efficient handling of incidents, service requests, and inquiries.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring prompt, courteous, and effective support.
• Coordinate and manage high-priority incidents, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
• Maintain the network, equipment and software.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance service quality and efficiency.

About You

You are:
• Customer and solution focused.
• Equipped with an in-depth understanding of hardware installation and fault-finding techniques.
• Proactive with exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Flexible in relation to work hours and locations.

To be considered for the role you require:
• IT industry experience supporting VMware, Windows Servers, Remote Desktop Services/Citrix in a WAN environment, PC’s, Thin Clients and Mobile Devices.
• Experience in the application of project management techniques.
• Experience supporting an IT Help Desk.
