This Federal Government agency regulates and supports one of the most important sectors across Australia.

Our client's primary purpose is to protect and enhance the safety, health, wellbeing, and quality of life of aged care consumers, promote aged care consumers’ confidence and trust in the provision of aged care services, and promote engagement with aged care consumers about the quality of their care and services. 
 
The Role
ITSM Tool Specialist is a critical role within the ICT team, responsible for the operation, enhancement and integration of the ITSM tool. This role will be responsible for the maintenance as well as the uplift of the tool across ICT as well as non-ICT departments. 

You will have a high capacity for decision making, setting work priorities, and the ability to provide technical guidance and stakeholder training. This role will require vendor management skills as well as project management capability. 
 
Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the Commission’s ITSM tool.
  • Manage, maintain, and enhance the ITSM tool to improve the Commission’s service capabilities.
  • Collaborate with ICT and non-ICT parts of the Commission’s business to define, design, and implement changes or enhancements to the ITSM tool.
  • Analyse system requirements and address any relevant problems, ensuring the solution aligns with business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on ITSM tool configuration, automation, and integration.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders to maximise the value of the ITSM toolset.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure highest level of system availability and reliability.
  • Create and schedule reports and dashboards to provide insights into metrics for continuous improvement.
You will have:
  • Extensive experience in the operation and implementation of ITSM tools such as ServiceDesk Plus.
  • Experience in workflow automation, API integration and ITSM tool enhancement.
  • Strong understanding and experience in ITIL service management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Eligibility for Baseline level security clearance.

Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens only. Candidates who currently hold or able to obtain Federal Government Security Clearances are highly desirable.
