The Role & Company

Working as a Construction Cadet for a Leading Builder Developer who have been established for over two decades and have a proud history of delivering some of Sydney's iconic Architecture. In the role you will be supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager. You have the opportunity to learn all the facets of construction in a traditional cadetship. There is existential room for career growth as the company gets larger and expands their portfolio. 

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be based both in the office and out on site and you will gain an holistic understanding of the building process across Design, Engineering, Delivery and the Commercial Management of putting large scale buildings together. Projects will range from $20M to $100M in the Mixed Use and Residential sectors of the market.  

The Company are a privately owned, $200M turnover construction company who have been around for more than 20 years and own over 700 property assets. They have an outstanding balance sheet and are in a position to build to rent and can adapt to fluctuations in market trends to provide security for their workers. They have based their growth on their people and have a history of mentoring and promoting from within. They look to employ like minded people who want to be part of something rather than just a number. As a future Project Manager this business own a substantial amount of land banks in some of Sydney's most desirable locations to provide you with exciting projects and job security.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Construction Management within Australia 
  • Sydney construction experience, ability to understand drawings & basic construction knowledge- full training will be provided. 
  • Available to work a minimum of 5 days per week & half day Saturday. 
  • You will want to become a future Project Manager and willing to work on site and in the office to be trained well
  • You will be a self-starter, passionate about the industry and understand you have a lot to learn and want to work hard 
  • You will have excellent English Language skills and strong all-round communication
  • A 'Can Do' attitude will be your number one asset.
  • Residential medium & high rise preferred- commercial experience considered.
