What's this role about?
As part of our Retail team, you'll be joining our team in Bluewater, Westfield on a permanent basis as our John Lewis Buddy; responsible for building strong relationships with the Bluewater John Lewis team. Driving shared initiatives with the local John Lewis team, to deliver results with commercial and operational excellence.
What you'll be doing
- Drive performance, through commercial action and excellent standards.
- Review commercial reports during each visit to identify key opportunities, successes and take appropriate action to drive sales.
- Review and maintain shopfloor standards and VM, implementing the latest VM direction.
- Plan time in with JL manager for one visit per week to share your insights and agree actions
- Continually feedback observations and any recommended actions to your leadership team.
- Maximise sales opportunities through JL marketing activity and personal shopping.
- Be a true Reiss ambassador delivering brand values and sharing key seasonal messages when working with the JL team.
- You will own recruitment and retention of your team
- Conducting regular performance reviews and probation reviews
- You'll have previous retail management experience and enjoy working in a collaborative way
- A passion for premium or luxury fashion, whatever your retail background.
- You are commercial with a track record of increasing overall business performance
- Have a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service through your team
- Be highly visual and have excellent commercial product management skills
- Be able to flex between the customer service, operational, technical and visual elements of the role
- Be confident working under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
- Be self-motivated, focused and driven to achieve team and individual goals
- Be a great people manager, able to bring the best out of your team
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
