Rowa Industry, trading as Arco Double Glazing, is a leading manufacturer of UPVC windows and doors with double glazing glass. We pride ourselves on our quality and innovation, and we're seeking a highly skilled Frame Production Supervisor to lead our production team.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Joiner Supervisor at Arco Double Glazing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our frame production area.
Key responsibilities include - Supervision of Production:
- Oversee the entire frame production process. Ensure that all machinery is utilized efficiently to produce windows and frames according to company standards.
- Use of machinery to cut shape and fits timber/upvc parts in workshops.
- Manufacture different structure-shapes using laminates, Perspex, metals and thermoplastics, ready for installation.
- Training and Instruction: Teach and guide all staff members in the Frame department, ensuring they are trained in the correct use of machinery and equipment.
- Quality Control: Assisting in ordering and selecting the raw-materials for joinery-production. Ensuring the efficient and accurate procurement of goods and supply to support operational needs. Maintain high-quality standards, ensuring all frames and windows meet safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Technical Expertise:Ability to read and interpret house plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. This skill is critical for accurate frame production and installation. Participating cross-functional departmental production to verify trueness of the frame-structures.
- Use specialised tools and equipment to shape the window-frames – according to specified dimensions and design.
- Address any joinery imperfections before final assembly, before final install.Carry out rectifications as necessary.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the frame production team. Create a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols in the production area. Conduct safety audits and address any concerns.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential to ensure accuracy and precision in all stages of frame production.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 4 years previous experience in frame production, with proficiency in utilizing machinery to produce windows and frames. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret house plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools and measuring equipment.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to instruct and guide staff in the Frame department. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
- Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for frame production.
