Joinery Production Drafter - Microvellum

We are seeking an experienced Joinery Drafter to join our team, preferably with Microvellum experience.  

Our company has been in the joinery industry for over 30 years, expanding into construction and shopfitting for more than 20+ years, resulting in long term client relationships.

We specialise in commercial and residential cabinetmaking, new construction builds, shop fitouts, renovations and repairs.  We are recognised for our exceptional level of quality, customer service excellence, professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILIITIES:

• Liaise with the Management team on upcoming projects.
• Work with architects and clients to ensure that project is in accordance with design specifications.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings for approvals
• Perform all file conversion and nesting functions for CNC and provide routing files to CNC Operator
• Create drawings and files showing detail and method of assembly, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures for production and site departments
• Handover concepts to production workers
• Co-ordinate project while in production 
• Prepare material breakdowns / listings for ordering, place orders/allocate stock 
• Prepare delivery load lists and carry out quality assurance checks
• Create architectural drawings based on site sketches for commercial construction projects 
• Liaise with production and project management to achieve project requirements
• Site Measure & coordination of small projects

CORE SKILLS:

• Microvellum experience
• AutoCAD Experience 
• Attention to detail, with ability to critique own work and take feedback
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Display a professional and courteous manner in representing the organisation’s core value of excellence in customer service.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Commercial and residential experience in drafting, manufacturing and installation 
• Cabinet Maker / Joiner or Carpenter trade qualified
