Job description

We are looking for a full-time Junior Art Director/Graphic Designer who is positive, efficient, and has an impeccable eye for detail to work in-house on the JAG brand. The successful candidate must be an organised and elevated creative who is able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.

To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Experience in motion graphics is essential. You should be confident in executing high-quality projects from conception to production across both print and digital media, often working within tight deadlines. 3-4 years of minimum experience in a similar role and industry is essential to be considered for this role.

The Role

  • Responsible for developing + refining creative concepts to support brand and campaign objectives.
  • Collaborate on briefs from stakeholders to assess their communication objectives and translate these into high quality, visually compelling assets (including but not limited to eDMs, presentations, retail marketing collateral, print + outdoor advertising, digital assets, window + in store VM + website rollout) in order to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Adhere to high quality standards on all design pieces and deliver projects within timelines
  • Be a champion and guardian of JAG brand presentation - both identity and brand, ensuring all creative concepts and execution adhere to brand guidelines, across all channels and in all activities
  • Ensure consistency and quality control on all collateral produced, in line with the internal approvals process
  • Monitor and implement current industry trends in print/digital design and seek out new creative solutions
  • Execute all aspects of campaign and content pre-production and post-production including casting, retouching, finished art and video edits for all assets
  • Oversee the creative team’s output on a daily, weekly + seasonal basis to ensure cohesion in creative + efficient delivery of business requirements
  • Direct the ecommerce photoshoots; leading creative teams to deliver on their roles, directing
  • model, making selects, ensuring imagery is high quality and on brand
  • Ongoing communication on brand + campaign development with GM

Campaign Development:

  • Work collaboratively with the Product, Marketing, VM, eComm, eDM and Social functions to ensure briefs and objective are clear and that production and media budgets are appropriate.
  • Work with the in-house team to develop creative concepts which are digitally led, but also work with traditional media (which is co-branded with department stores, notably David Jones).

Graphic Design Key Responsibilities:

  • Seasonal style guides, EDM design and content planning, In-store collateral, Social content, Website wireframe design, Video editing, Print and digital look books, In-store ticketing, Visual
  • merchandising print assets
  • All projects will be considered and consistent across all channels as we are an omni-channel business

KPI's

1. Delivery of campaigns to agreed timings and budget, creating efficiencies where possible

2. Alignment of campaigns across all customer touchpoints.

3. Ongoing improvement in quality of campaign and creative assets and delivery.

4. Consistency of brand voice across all campaign communications.

5. Facilitate product campaigns via emails, microsites, landing pages, affiliates and across all stores to boost client to customer interactions.
