We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Brand Manager to join our Brands & Buying team to drive the growth of the Fragrance portfolio. This fast-paced role is central to our business, combining elements from category management, consumer brand management and commercial portfolio management.
The Role You Could Play
You will be responsible for maintaining and building the Fragrance category in the Australian and New Zealand markets! Suiting those with a strong analytical background, you will contribute to MECCA’s Fragrance strategy looking at space, range and brand optimisation across the entire portfolio, as well as driving new opportunities for growth.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
Building annual brand plans based on performance and market insights
Developing market, brand and competitor insights within the fragrance category
Supporting the development of fragrance category strategy
Generating commercial insights through data-driven analysis to assess strategic opportunities
Working with stakeholders to deliver strategic projects
Managing and maintaining strong business relationships with new and existing brands
Acting as a MECCA ambassador and local affiliate for each brand in your portfolio
Monitoring, analysing and communicating brand performance
Reporting on the performance of brand initiatives such as international guests and Beauty Loop sampling
Managing Sales, COGS and commercial performance of your brand portfolio vs budgets, as well as brand level P&L
Successfully delivering launch plans across the business through promotion and marketing planning processes

A relevant tertiary degree in business, commerce or a related discipline
A minimum of 3 years of buying/brand management or consulting experience
Experience in or strong knowledge of the fragrance category
Strong numerical, analytical and powerpoint presentation skills
Logical and structured approach to strategic problem solving
Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels and business functions
Ability to think critically, adapting quickly to change with a solution-oriented approach
Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
