Junior Devops / Game Developer

Velvix is an innovative land-based slot game development company committed to creating engaging and immersive slot gaming experiences. We distribute our products across multiple continents. We are looking for a passionate Junior DevOps / Game Developer to join our team, and contribute to developing our internal automation systems and maintaining our infrastructure.

We seek a motivated Junior DevOps / Game Developer with a strong understanding of C# programming, Unity Engine, Batch and Bash scripting. The ideal candidate should embrace automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency. A basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking is essential. Experience with AWS or Azure DevOps is preferred but not required.

• Develop and maintain UI-based automation tools using C# and Unity Engine.
• Implemented and managed automation scripts using Batch, Bash, JSON and YAML.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth integration and delivery of game updates to major stakeholders.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining build pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Install and set up games on customised Windows and Linux-based systems.
• Monitor and optimise system performance, addressing issues related to hardware and networking.
• Work closely with senior developers to implement best practices for game development and DevOps.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Proficiency in C# programming and experience with the Unity Engine.
• Knowledge of Batch and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with automated tools and a strong preference for automation over manual processes.
• Clean code style and understand the value of refactoring.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking.
• A basic understanding of the Linux operating system, Ubuntu or similar distro is preferred.
• Experience with AWS, Azure DevOps, or any cloud computing systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
