Where you’ll be working
You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within the System Performance Support Branch, System Sustainability and Performance Division and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. The System Performance Support Branch has the lead role in monitoring the performance of health services by working in close partnership with health service executives, senior managers and clinicians as well as other parts of the Ministry and pillar organisations.

About the Role
The Junior Full Stack Developer is responsible for the development of the below solutions as well as any other initiatives or ad-hoc tasks that become the responsibility of the State ODS Program Team within the Ministry of Health. Applications include:
- Dynamic Statewide Ambulance Matrix
- Electronic Recommendation for Admission (eRFA) Portal
- Elective Surgery Demand and Capacity Dashboard
- Patient Flow Portal
- Patient Flow Dashboard
- Community Care Modules
- Clinician Billing Portal
- Revenue Portal
- All other State ODS Program initiatives as commissioned by NSW Health
These applications consume large amounts of real-time data from numerous source systems used by over 25,000 staff from the Local Health Districts, Ministry of Health, Ambulance NSW, Health Share, eHealth, the Pillars and interstate jurisdictions (ACT Health and Network with Victoria).
This Junior Full Stack Developer will be experienced in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL development best practices, database design and development, database performance optimisation, PowerBI and .Net solutions.

Selection Criteria
- Have some experience working with GIT source control.
- Have some experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Microsoft ADF and Synapse. Experience with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, PowerBI/SSIS, Stored Procedure, Web API.
- Experience (>1 year) with large Single Page Applications as well as designing and developing web applications with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, REST.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify the cause of issues and implement solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate issues and solutions in a simple manner.
- Quick learner and self-motivated to learn and master new technical skills, languages, tools and platforms.
- Relevant educational background including a Bachelor degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science and Microsoft Azure Certificate (AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator) or (AZ-204: Developing Solutions) is preferable.
