About the role:
- As a Junior Purchasing Officer, your primary responsibilities will revolve around evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, conducting market research, and ensuring efficient supply chain management.
- Continuously conduct market and product research to stay updated with emerging trends and potential business opportunities.
- Source materials, goods, products and services and negotiate contracts and deals with vendors and suppliers.
- Conduct regular inventory inspections, repordering supplies, and reporting any discrepancies or faulty items.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, payments, and received stock, and collaborate with delivery team to ensure timely shipments.
- Attend industry events, product launches and engage in networking activities to establish and nurture relationships within the industry.
- Monday – Friday, office based role working 40 hours per week based in Eastern Creek.
- A keen eye for detail, solid analytical skills, and the ability to forge strong proferssional relationships with vendors and clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively commnuicate and collaborate within a team.
- You’re reliable, motivated, and able to work under pressure with changing priorities.
- Would suit a junior or recent Graduate in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or other related field (highly advantageous but not essential)
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
