Junior Menswear Buyer

Our client is seeking a commercial Junior Buyer with the confidence and experience to build ranges, manage supplier relationships and work across apparel and accessories related to contemporary coastal culture. 
  
Key Responsibilities: 

• Leverage a deep understanding of your customer to identify current and emerging trends which shape and influence product development.
• Source and develop new and exciting brands, incubate ranges, create brand experiences and leverage great relationships with both our branded suppliers and vertical designers. 
• Develop a compelling product and brand offer that differentiates our client from their competition.
• Commercially manage stock flow, whilst delivering a high-performance and profitable brand matrix
• In conjunction with the marketing and visual merchandise teams, develop effective and relevant communications to the consumer. 
• Through your leadership, develop and foster strong and mutually beneficial long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders

To be successful: 

• Minimum four years’ + experience in Buying. 
• Understanding of the Menswear market. 
• Great influencer, strong negotiator and outstanding communicator in both verbal and written communication. 
• Strong analytical skills and a depth of experience in consumer insights and research.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor and supplier management.
• Strong experience in managing high profile brands
• Degree, Tertiary or Fashion qualification is highly desirable
