CJD Equipment has an exciting opportunity available for a Junior Security Engineer to join the Information Technology team.

Reporting to the Information Security Lead, we are seeking a Junior Security Engineer to join the cool team. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in cybersecurity within a supportive and dynamic team environment. You will be involved in monitoring and responding to security incidents, assisting with the implementation of security measures, and supporting our ongoing efforts to maintain robust security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Monitoring & Incident Response – assist in investigating security incidents and contribute to developing and implementing response plans.
  • Vulnerability Management – support vulnerability assessment activities and help with the deployment of remediation measures.
  • Security Tools & Technologies – participate in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of security tools such as IDS/IPS and antivirus solutions.
  • Policy & Compliance – assist in maintaining compliance with internal security policies and contribute to security audits.
  • Security Education & Awareness – assist in creating and delivering security awareness training programs.
  • Documentation & Reporting – keep security documentation up-to-date including incident reports and security procedures.

To thrive in this role, you must have a genuine passion for problem-solving and demonstrate proficiency about information security space. Familiarity with a Microsoft hybrid environment is preferred, but a willingness to learn is also valued. A strong drive and ambition to deliver successful outcomes is essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field and experience
  • Experience: Previous internship or entry-level experience in cybersecurity is beneficial
  • Basic understanding of security principles and practices
