The Role
Reporting to the Companion Animals Team Leader andbased in Mulgrave, the Kennel Assistant will be responsible for the care ofimpounded animals, including health checks, feeding, cleaning, exercisinganimals and maintenance of the shelter.
About You
You will be passionate about animal welfare and willhave experience maintaining commercial animal impounding premises. You have ademonstrated ability to identify and report animal health concerns. You areexperienced in the handling of animals and managing animal behaviour.
Essential Criteria
- Cert II or above in animalrelated study or studying an animal related qualification
- Experience maintainingcommercial impounding premises
- Animal handling experience
- Sound knowledge of Microsoftsuite of applications
- Current class C driver licence
- You will be available for aminimum of two weekday shifts, between 8:30am to 5pm and dependant onoperational requirements, weekend shifts, between 7:30am to 12:30pm
Desirable Criteria
- Use of shelter management software such as Shelterbuddy
- NSW companion animalmicrochipping accreditation
- Ability to drive a manualvehicle
