We are looking for a committed, experienced and skilled Forklift Operator to join our Kiln operations team. This is a great opportunity to work in a highly skilled department based at our Colac site.
Acting as a key member of the Kiln department this position will operate across both our CDK and Batch kilns as well as forklift operations. This position has an attractive roster for the right candidate, working 7 days on and 7 days off. Rotating between day and night shift, the shift roster is 6:00am – 6:00pm for day shift and 6:00pm – 6:00am for night shift.
The successful candidate would be experienced in operating a 16 tonne forklift, preferably with experience moving timber packs but it is not essential. Training in the kiln process will be provided with a requirement of basic computer knowledge needed for this position.
The successful applicants will have:
- A current forklift licence
- Strong forklift competencies and skills
- Ability to work alone and unsupervised
- Good time management skills
- Problem solving skills to be able to plan and identify required actions
- High degree of flexibility of time and ability to work changing shifts/rosters
- Proficient in the use of computers
