The Role:
Working within our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality education that supports safety, participation, wellbeing and empowerment of children aged 3 - 5 years, some of whom experience developmental delays.
We are looking for Early Childhood Teacher to lead our Monkey Minds team, specifically for our:
- Early Years Program (3-4 year old)
- School Readiness Program (4-5 year old)
- Early Childhood Intervention (2-5 year old)
Your role will include:
- Continue developing curriculum
- Mentor and support current staff members
- Provide therapy and classes at our premises in Dromana
- Conduct initial appointments, getting to know your client, and their goals
- Support parents of a 3 to 5-year-old child to guide what best suits their child’s needs
- Work collaboratively with clients health professional team and family members
- Assess and communicate the child’s development and ongoing progress
- Ensure that supports are clearly documented, coordinated, and communicated to families and internal and external stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Minimum 5 years proven and documented experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, Developmental and Speech Delay
- Minimum 5 years experience leading a team
- Expert understanding of child development and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Ability to plan, develop and implement a high-quality educational program for the Pre-Kinder and School Readiness program in line with EYLF
- Ability to assess, record and maintain observations of children’s progress and development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, families and children
- Understanding of NDIS funding is advantageous but not necessary
Minimum qualification you will have:
- A Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education/ Primary Teacher
- A Masters in Early Childhood Education
- A Masters in Learning Intervention
