The Opportunity
Council is seeking experienced Bachelor-qualified teachers who are passionate, eager and excited to provide high-level education and care for our young community members. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver stimulating and engaging programs for children.
- Ensure each child's learning and development is assessed as part of an ongoing continuum of planning, documentation and evaluation.
- Provide feedback and mentoring to educator team to ensure each child's learning and development is assessed as part of an ongoing continuum of planning, documentation and evaluation.
- Understanding of Victoria's Child Safe Standards and how to apply them in daily practice.
- Ensure all procedures required by the Education and Care Services National Act 2010, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011, Council Policies and Procedures and Occupational, Health and Safety Guidelines are adhered to at all times.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent degree qualification, as recognised by the Department of Education and Training and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011.
- Ability to lead, implement and monitor the planning and implementation of a play-based educational program which meets the National Quality Framework (NQF), including the National Law, Act and Regulations, Service Funding Agreement and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
- Understanding of Victoria's Child Safe Standards and how educators apply them in daily practice.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement children's programs using contemporary theory and practice, in line with National Law Act and Regulations and associated frameworks.
- Hold a current and valid (or willingness to obtain):
- Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- First Aid Level 2 Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Anaphylaxis Management Certificate
- Emergency Asthma Management Certificate
