We currently have two (2) vacancies at Bethanie Subiaco Aged Care Home for Kitchen Hands to work on a permanent part time basis.
Bethanie Subiaco is a 112-bed facility that provides the full range of aged care services including dementia support, palliative care and respite services.
The successful applicants must be available to work one of the following rosters below -
ROLE 1 - Kitchen Hand (Part time - 42 hours per fortnight)
Week 1: Monday (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm) +Tuesday (7:00 am to 1:30 pm/ 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm) + Thursday (11:30 am to 6:00 pm) + Friday (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm).
Week 2: Monday & Tuesday (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm) + Thursday (11:30 am to 6:00 pm) + Friday (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm)
OR
ROLE 2 – Kitchen Hand (Part time - 36 hours per fortnight)
Week 1 & 2: Tuesday (7:00 am to 1:30 pm/ 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm) + Thursday (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm) +Friday (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm)
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant must be willing to work across the following departments listed below:
Kitchen Hand
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily.
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery
- Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand &/ or Laundry Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment.
- Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate both orally and written.
- A current police clearance or willingness to get one.
- Willingness to obtain any relevant vaccinations required.
