An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Kitchen Storeperson to join the Sydney Campus on a part time and fixed term basis until December 2024.
Please note: The successful candidate will be expected to work 1 afternoon / early evening shift per week from 11:30am until 7:00pm.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Perform food preparation duties in a kitchen and central stores area by providing assistance to Teachers and the Stores Team Leader to assemble ingredients as part of the student’s lessons and training.
- Conduct general pantry duties with the storage of food in dry stores, cool room and freezer environment.
- Perform general washing up and cleaning duties within the kitchen, retail outlets or food preparation and scullery areas. This can include the cleaning cooking and general utensils used in a kitchen or restaurant and cleaning kitchen floors and other surfaces.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working in a similar role or in large kitchens, dealing with food preparation, food handling and general cleaning
- Knowledge of Food Safety
- Current Food Handlers Certificate or ability to
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment under routine supervision in a safe and responsible
- Have basic Computer literacy
- Demonstrated awareness of Occupational Health and Safety
