The Role
As a Kitchenhand, you will assist with the daily operations providing healthy, nutritious and delicious meals for children from 0-6 years of age.
Rostered hours will be approximately 10:00am- 4:00pm Monday- Friday.
Previous experience as a kitchenhand in an Early Learning centre will be highly desirable.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the preparation of food that adheres to allergy and medical and/or intolerance requirements during food preparation
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in line with Food Safety Program.
- Implementing high level of food safety standards at all times, while having a strong sense of children's nutritional and dietary requirements
- Food preparation for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack
- Dishwashing and maintaining general cleanliness of the kitchen.
About You
- Previous Kitchen experience is preferred
- Current Working with Children Check (or able to obtain)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
