We are looking for an experienced Kitchenhand/Housekeeper to work at our Accommodation Village in Shenton Park.

Whilst our business encompasses printing, box making, food and industrial packaging to a wide range of Western Australian clients, this role is to provide cleaning and kitchen hand duties at our Westcare Accommodation Village.
About the Role
The Kitchenhand/Housekeeper contributes to a clean and hygienic kitchen and living environment for people living with a disability. This particular position will mainly be rostered for the dinner shift five nights per week however, the successful applicant will be willing to cover the morning/afternoon shift, on occasion, if required, including weekends. The duties may include:
- Kitchenhand
- Re-heat pre-prepared meals
- Wash, dry, and return all crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils
- Fill dispensers and bowls, including fruit, cereals, sugar, utensils, and condiments.
- Clean the kitchen area, including bench tops, window, cool-room, stove, and oven
- Prepare sandwiches and pre-packed snacks for resident lunches
- Peel vegetables, slice meat for resident meals
- Prepare light breakfast and side dishes to serve with main meals as directed by Manager
- Plate desserts for resident evening meals
- Serve resident meals, as directed by the Manager
- Re-set dining room
- Receive deliveries and organise stock as directed by the Manager
- Cleaning
- Clean (vacuum, mop, dust, disinfect, and make beds) residential units in accordance with the cleaning schedule and at the direction of the Manager
- Clean (vacuum, mop, dust, and disinfect) common areas in accordance with the cleaning schedule and at the direction of the manager
- Refill cleaning products from bulk containers
- Carry out occasional cleaning, including windows, fridges, and stoves, as directed by the Manager
- Carry out spring clean type of duties at the Village on rotating basis at each unit as directed by Manager.
- Complete required cleaning documentation.
3. Laundry
- Collect, count, and dispatch resident laundry and flat items
- Receive washed laundry and return to resident units and laundry room.
- Report stock requirements to the Manager
Who We are Looking For:
- Domestic/commercial cleaning experience and/or experience working in a commercial kitchen.
- Willingness and a positive and supportive attitude to working with people with disabilities.
- Proven ability to work unsupervised with sound time management skills
- Ability to follow safe work practices and use equipment and chemicals safely.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Appointment Factors
The following are requirements for appointment to and employment in this role:
- Possession of a recent National Police Clearance
- Possession of a current NDIS Employment Check
- Recent food hygiene certificate or willing to obtain one
- COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with current WA State Government requirements
