Minimum Requirements
- Comfortable with using a microscope for extended periods of time
- Experience in Asbestos, Mould Identification and/or Microbiology history not required but is highly regarded
- Basic knowledge in the use of Phase contrast light microscopy highly regarded
- Commitment to working within NATA and regulatory guidelines
- Flexibility with availability to meet demand
- Dedication to producing quality work while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting
- Attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Working in team environments
Primary Duties
The role will require phase contrast light microscopy, stereo microscopy and polarising light microscopy in the identification of asbestos fibres and mould spores. The applicant will need to follow basic laboratory processes with accurate record keeping. Daily tasks will include creating daily laboratory tasks, complete laboratory analysis and develop laboratory analysis certificates.
