The Laboratory Technician at Howard Park's Margaret River Winery is responsible for the delivery of laboratory services. This includes but is not limited to, the collection of samples, performance of tests, documentation and communication of results, and the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
All of the above tasks are performed in accordance with the winery's standard operating procedures to ensure all wines are made food safe and of high quality.
Job Requirements The Laboratory Technician must be a detail-oriented multitasker willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment. They must be skilled at communicating verbally and in writing.
In addition to these general traits we desire
- Degree in a relevant or related field
- Knowledge of wine analysis and interpretation skills
- Knowledge of general Cellar Hand procedures and duties
- Able to operate, maintian and source laboratory equipment
- Previous experience testing wine and wine related substance
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to complete tasks unsupervised
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience training others on lab procedures or similar
- Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work permit
