We are a NATA accredited laboratory servicing Environmental Consultants, Mines, Occupational Hygienists, Government Departments, Industry, and the general public by providing great service and quality.
About the role
Our Perth laboratory in Myaree is currently accepting applications for the position of Laboratory Technician - Afternoon Shift in our modern NATA accredited laboratory for an immediate start. This is a full-time role, with working hours from 1pm - 9pm where you will be required to prepare samples for analysis.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Preparation and analysis - prepare samples for analysis and ensure tests are conducted within holding time
- Quality control - adhere to all quality control requirements
- Safety - adhere to all laboratory safety requirements and PPE usage.
- Documentation - completed accurately and timely
- Housekeeping - ensure ongoing housekeeping to keep a clean workspace
About you
The ideal candidate has these qualifications and traits:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritise competing demands
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Team player
- Degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
