Laboratory Technician , Poly Manufacturing And Fabrication

Enviro Pipes is a leader in the Polyethylene Manufacturing and Fabrication industry, and currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced quality controller to join the team. 

This role is hands on working within a factory environment.  It is critical that you, as the successful applicant, approach your work with a willingness to learn a diverse range of activities and have an approach based on the safety of yourself and others. 

You will preferably be educated with a relevant Australian technical/engineering diploma or degree and be competent and well informed in relevant Australian standards (in particular ISO17025, AS/NZS 5065, AS/NZS4130, AS/NZS4129 and ISO9001) and regulatory legislation. Experience working in the polyethylene industry, the ability to demonstrate attention to detail, and knowledge in the quality control area will be highly regarded.

To perform well in the role, you will need to be proactive and engaging, have effective communication skills with all levels of staff, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are expecting you to have sound knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, experience and knowledge in interpreting isometric drawings, laboratory testing, dimensional checking and testing documentation. Attention to details is a must.

Responsibilities include but not limited to;

• Laboratory testing, interpreting and recording results and suggest corrective actions
• Dimensional and quality checking of all manufactured and fabricated products
• Collating and developing accurate quality documentation and records (ie MDR, weld maps, OIT, etc)
• Management of raw material
• Ensuring all fabricated isometrics are fully compliant with customer specifications, drawings and standards
• Implementation of quality policy and procedures
• Updating and preparation of laboratory work practices and with risk management assessment
• Conducting internal audits and working with external auditors
• Calibration of quality control equipment
