About the positions

• The Labourer position performs a broad range of tasks in a construction and/or maintenance work team.
• The base wage rate for this position is $1,088.81 gross, working a 38-hour week plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
• In addition to the base wage rate, variable allowances are available (for example - on call, over time, asbestos allowances, wet weather).
• This is a Permanent Full-Time position based at the Goombungee.
• Enjoy work/life balance by participating in nine (9) day fortnight working arrangement.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria
Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience

• Current ‘C’ Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Year 10 education or a combination of experience, qualification and competence which enables the incumbent to perform all duties of the position.
• WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.

Desirable qualification(s), training and/or experience

• Current ‘MR’ Class Driver’s Licence.
• Traffic Control ticket.
• Traffic Management Implementation (MUTCD).
• Authorised Persons Certificate for Working Near Powerlines.
• First Aid Certificate; or similar construction related licences or qualifications.
• WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LR’ – Road Roller (

2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent); or any other plant competencies.
NOTE: There may be a requirement to obtain one or more of these desirable competencies within six (6) months of commencement.
