A fantastic opportunity for a Labourer/Maintenance Officer to work for a large facility in Adelaide's South Hays Trades & Labour are working with an organisation to assist in placing a suitable Labourer/Maintenance Officer based at a large facility in Adelaide's Southern Suburbs. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of general building repairs, maintenance and handyman duties across a large site as well as undertaking some more general caretaking responsibilities. Your new role You will use your handyman skills to perform general preventative and reactive building maintenance duties including, however not limited to;
Relocating and clearing vacated offices
General handyman services such as door adjustment, lightbulb replacement, removal of shelves, white boards etc.
Small event setups (table and chairs for meetings/conferences) and non-scheduled cleaning assistance such as minor spillage and cleaning rubbish
Assistance with operable walls at the facility and waste disposal such as confidential documents, paper and taking cardboard collections to drop off point
Mailing services for internal mail and milk run once a week
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position you will have a proven background working in a hands-on building maintenance position with experience in a variety of repairs and maintenance with any additional construction or trade qualifications being held in high regard. To be able to provide effective support across the entire site candidates must hold a full C - Class driving licence whilst holding a white card and a national police check is also desirable, if you do not hold a current police check you will be expected to attain one. You will be required to have excellent written and oral communication skills as you will deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
