The details:

• Permanent Full Time (2 positions available)
• $65,365 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + super (up to 12%) + leave loading

(increasing to $67,642 pa effective 1 July 2024)
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the EBA5 * 9 day fortnight

• 76 hour fortnight
• Location: Petrie - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months.

About our opportunityAs one of our SQID (Stormwater Quality Improvement Device) team members, you'll be undertaking maintenance inspections and performing specific labouring duties on SQID team maintenance projects. This will include:

• undertaking tasks in confined spaces
• operation of relevant plant/equipment such as suction trucks
• using rubber bungs to seal pipes
• calibrating gas monitors
• inspecting as well as operating a high air pressure hose

Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum MR but a higher class licence is desirable), a Construction Induction Card and a current Confined Space Entry certification.
